Introduction to Engineering Design Students create 3-D models using specialized CAD computer software, and create interesting sketches and projects. Principles of Engineering Students explore technology systems by designing machines. It's a 2+2 articulated course in which students may earn college credit. Computer Integrated Manufacturing Students enhance computer modeling skills by applying principles of robotics & automation to the creation of models of 3-D designs. AP Computer Science Principles Students apply computer logic through work with electronic circuitry; students also construct and test for functionality. AP Computer Science Advanced Students apply computer science engineering further their expanded knowledge and how it is applicable to real life and for future careers. Programming Students learn the basics of Java Script, HTML, and Java in a fun and adaptive environment. This course offers 3 units from Merced College. IT Essentials Students get certified to repair school issued Chromebooks while also working towards Cisco networking and security certification. Students learn fundamental computer & career skills for entry-level IT jobs, including hands-on labs that provide practical experience. Robotics 1&2 Students who have taken another engineering course in this class (formally only a club) will experiment with different aspects of robotics ultimately leading up to competing in either FTC or FRC. Digital Electronics Students learn about what's in the digital world and what is the foundation to all electronic devices. It is a hands on class that provides students an opportunity to learn more about the digital electronics used in everyday life.
The excitement of engineering and STEM does not stop with these classes, there are also several clubs on campus for students to join to further their knowledge of engineering. These include gaming club, engineering club, and Girls Who Code
